Light-density fiberglass batts are available with kraft, foil, or foil scrim kraft (FSK) fire-resistant vapor retarder facings.
These batts have various applications, including improving the thermal performance of both exterior and interior walls and floor/ceiling assemblies. The kraft facing is suitable for non-exposed steel stud construction, while the foil facing works well for non-exposed wood and steel stud construction. The FSK-25 facing is designed for situations where a Fire Hazard Classification of 25/50 is required.
